For the first time since the creation of IT-Development, and with the support of Business France, our teams will present ClickOnSite at the GITEX Technology Week 2020, the third largest technology conference in the world.

After many months of virtual events, our experts will finally be able to meet in person (and in compliance with strict COVID-19 security guidelines) with the biggest telecoms players in the North Africa and Middle East (MENA) region. A major market whose total telecoms revenue is expected to grow at a CAGR of 1.7% between 2019 and 2025, despite the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mobile network operators (MNOs) and towercos will be meeting us from 6th to 10th December 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Center, Hall 4 Booth A40, to talk about your deployment and site management challenges.

MENA: a high-potential market

When we opened our office in Dubai, we analyzed the MENA market and identified a division between emerging countries and innovation drivers. This was confirmed a few months later in the Analysys Mason and TowerXchange Meetup MENA 2020 reports, as shown in the figure below about 5G deployment:

However, this is not a time to lose faith in the MENA market. Jawad Abbassi, GSMA’s head of the Middle East and North Africa, expects an unprecedented surge in mobile network traffic related to the COVID-19 pandemic. To support this unexpected pressure, many operators deployed emergency measures. A real-life exercise that alerted them to the upcoming challenges and the future investments which are required.

Boost your digitalization and agility with ClickOnSite

The top three technologies that telecom players plan to adopt by 2023 are:

Most of these services are already provided by ClickOnSite, through our ultra-sophisticated telecom infrastructure management software.
But more than digitalization, Michael Davies, a senior lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who also runs the New Technology Ventures program at the London Business School, said that operators and towercos must also “use their existing resources with more agility.’ We can also share this know-how since agility is part of our DNA.
That’s why we have recently redesigned our offer to better adapt it to each client profile and budget. Both small and large companies can benefit from it without sacrificing their digitalization and agility ambitions due to the pandemic.
